Data we collect.
Our block explorer is a read-only, publicly accessible tool. We do not require users to create accounts or provide personal information to use the explorer. The data we collect is limited to what is necessary to operate and improve the service.
We may collect the following types of data:
- IP addresses, collected automatically when you access the explorer, as is standard for any web service.
- Usage and analytics data, collected via Datadog, including information about how users interact with the explorer (e.g., pages visited, session duration, errors encountered).
- Search queries, such as transaction hashes, wallet addresses, and block heights entered into the explorer's search functionality.
- Voluntary contact information, such as your name and email address, only if you proactively reach out to us through a contact form or by email. We will only use this information to respond to your inquiry.
We do not collect financial information, government-issued identification, or any other sensitive personal data in connection with the block explorer.
How we collect, process, use, and share your data.
Data is collected in the following ways:
- Automatically, when you access and use the block explorer (e.g., IP address, analytics data, search queries).
- When you voluntarily provide it to us by submitting a contact form or sending us an email.
- Through third-party analytics services, including Datadog. Note: some of these services may use cookies.
We will only collect, use, share, or otherwise process your data where it is necessary for us to carry out our lawful business activities. In doing so, we rely on one or more of the following lawful grounds:
- Legitimate interest: We may process data where it is in our legitimate interests to do so, such as maintaining the security and performance of the explorer.
- Consent: In some cases, we will only process your data where you have provided express consent.
- Legal obligation: We may need to process data in order to comply with an obligation imposed by law.
Foundry may use your data for one or more of the following purposes:
- Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized use of the explorer.
- Monitor and improve the performance and reliability of the explorer.
- Respond to inquiries you submit through our contact form or by email.
We may share your data with:
- Trusted third-party service providers under contract who help with parts of our business operations, such as analytics providers, technology services, and professional advisers. Our contracts require these service providers to only use your information in connection with the services they perform for us and prohibit them from selling your information to anyone else.
- Companies or other entities that we plan to merge, combine, or consolidate with or be acquired by. Should such a transaction occur, we will require that the new combined and/or surviving entity follow this Privacy Policy substantially with respect to your data.
- Regulatory agencies, law enforcement, or other government authorities, including during routine regulatory examinations or as required by applicable law.
International transfers of your data.
Foundry is a global organization and, while providing the block explorer to you, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed outside of the jurisdiction in which you reside. The laws of those countries may differ from the laws applicable in your own country. For example, data collected in the European Economic Area (EEA) may be transferred to, stored, and processed at a destination outside of the EEA (including the United States of America). By accepting this Privacy Policy, you expressly consent to the transfer, storing, or processing of your data outside of your jurisdiction and subject to the laws of the applicable jurisdiction.
Minor information.
Our block explorer is not intended for anyone under 18 years of age ("Minor"). We do not knowingly or intentionally gather or process data about Minors. If we learn that we have collected any information from a Minor, we will promptly delete it from our systems.
The important security measures we maintain to secure your data.
Foundry places great importance on ensuring the security of your data. We regularly review and implement appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures.
Employees of Foundry are trained to handle data securely and with the utmost respect; failing to do so may be subject to disciplinary action. Although we take steps to secure your data, we cannot guarantee that it will always remain secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected individuals and, where applicable, the relevant supervisory authority, in accordance with local law.
If at any time you access a third-party site or service through a link on our explorer, any data you share with that third party will be subject to their own privacy policies and will not be controlled by this Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites.
